Students will be able to benefit through teaching and clinical resources offered by both SFU, HOHCS and BH. HOHCS and BH will grant a number of living allowance and scholarship to students under specific criteria. Students are required to complete at least 1600 hours of clinical practicum within two years of study. Students will have the chance to conduct clinical practicum in various hospital and community settings in organisations such as the Hospital Authority, HOHCS , BH and Caritas-Hong Kong. Students will be equipped with up-to-date knowledge and skills in clinical practice and strong professional ethics related to community care, palliative care, rehabilitation and aged care. Having obtained a Level 2 or above in the Liberal Studies subject in previous HKDSE examinations can fulfil the requirement of "Attained" for the Citizenship and Social Development subject. Mathematics extended module (M1/M2) could be considered as an independent elective course. "Attained", "Attained with Distinction (I)", and "Attained with Distinction (II)" in Applied Learning (ApL) subjects (Category B) are considered to be equivalent to Level 2, Level 3 and Level 4 in DSE subjects respectively. A maximum of 2 Applied Learning (ApL) subjects (excluding Applied Learning Chinese) will be taken into consideration. "Combined sittings" is accepted for meeting the general admission requirement and for the calculation of admissions scores. If an applicant has taken the HKDSE examination in a subject more than once, the best result for that subject will be counted. There is no score deduction for repeated subjects. Category C: Other Languages Subjects (applicable to the 2025 HKDSE and onwards). Unless otherwise stated in the programme specific regulations, Other Languages subjects (Category C) at specified levels are considered as elective subjects. Diploma of Applied Education / Diploma Yi Jin Graduated from Diploma of Applied Education or Diploma Yi Jin. Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) Relevant and substantial work experience and/or prior qualification(s) obtained in or outside Hong Kong (e.g. assessed through recognition of prior learning and credit accumulation and transfer), with demonstrated ability to undertake sub-degree education. * Not eligible for Associate Degree in Business and Higher Diploma in Enrolled Nursing (General) programme. Mature Applicants Aged 21 or above on 1 September of the year when admission is sought, AND with relevant working experience and academic background. Equivalent Qualifications Other equivalent qualifications will also be considered. International Qualifications Please refer to International Qualifications page for details. Applicants need to fulfil the designated language requirements. Programme Specific Requirements In addition to the General Entrance Requirements, applicants must satisfy the following entrance requirements specific to their chosen programme(s). Associate Degree in Business (Full-time / Part-time) Mature Applicants Aged 21 or above on 1 September of the year when admission is sought; AND With at least one-year relevant working experience and academic background. Higher Diploma in Enrolled Nursing (General) Higher Diploma in Enrolled Nursing (General) : SSSDP Places (HDEN) HKDSE Applicants Obtained a minimum of Level 2 or above in Mathematics (Compulsory) in the HKDSE examinations. Other Languages subjects (Category C) are not considered. Diploma of Applied Education / Diploma Yi Jin Applicants Passed the Math Plus complementary course in Diploma of Applied Education / Diploma Yi Jin. Mature Applicants Aged 21 or above on 1 September of the year when admission is sought; AND Have met the Minimum Entry Requirements for Training of Enrolled Nurses as stipulated by the Nursing Council of Hong Kong. Higher Diploma in Enrolled Nursing (General) : SWD Places (HDEN-SWD) Applicants who are interested in HDEN-SWD programme organised and subsidised by the SWD are required to meet the requirements: Permanent Hong Kong Resident with the right of abode in Hong Kong who is aged 18 or above by 7 September 2026; AND Fluent in Cantonese, and proficiency in written Chinese and English. * Please refer to Programme Website for details. Higher Diploma in Music Studies Attained Grade 6 in the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music (ABRSM) Practical Examination; OR Equivalent level awarded by similar organizations; OR Approval after audition. *A satisfactory result in HKDSE Music Elective Subject will be highly considered. Alternative qualifications in Chinese Language requirement for local Non-Chinese Speaking (NCS) applicants For Non-Chinese Speaking (NCS) students fulfilling the specified circumstances below, our University accepts alternative qualifications in Chinese Language as meeting the Chinese Language requirement for Undergraduate and Sub-degree admission. The specified circumstances are: 1. The student has learned Chinese Language for less than six years while receiving primary and secondary education. 2. The student has learned Chinese Language for six years or more in schools, but has been taught an adapted and simpler Chinese Language curriculum not normally applicable to the majority of students in our local schools. Notes: 1.      Local students admitted under the programme would be eligible for a subsidy provided by the government under the Study Subsidy Scheme for Designated Professions/Sectors (SSSDP) subject to the approval of Education Bureau. 2.      Shortlisted applicants will receive individual notifications regarding interview details from either the Registry or the Academic departments. The notifications will be sent through various electronic means (e.g. email, SMS, and phone (typically using phone numbers starting with 3702 or 3653). Applicants are advised to attend the interviews as scheduled since re-arrangement may not be feasible.
