Graduates also have the opportunity to pursue postgraduate studies. In addition, students may take part in the research attachment scheme research attachment scheme , which provides them with early exposure to discovery and innovation. BSc Physics students are eligible to apply for the following degree programme options under the Talents Programme: Joint Bachelor's Degree Program between City University of Hong Kong and Columbia University Undergraduate plus Master's Degree Programme (BSc Physics + MSc Physics with Data Modelling and Quantum Technologies) Direct Admission to Joint Bachelor’s Degree Program with Columbia University Direct Admission to Joint Bachelor’s Degree Program with Columbia University Starting in 2026/27, JUPAS applicants can directly apply for Year 1 entry to the prestigious Joint Bachelor’s Degree Program offered by CityUHK and Columbia University. Graduates will earn degrees from both institutions. A separate application to Columbia University is required after submitting the JUPAS application. Unspecified electives may include Category A elective subjects, Mathematics extended modules (M1/M2) (except for JS1801 ) and Category C other languages subjects (Japanese: Level N3 or above; Korean: Grade 3 or above; French/German/Spanish: Level A2 or above; Urdu: Grade E or above) (except for JS1200 , JS1201 , JS1217 , JS1300 , JS1801 , JS1805 , JS1806 and JS1807 ). If students take both M1 and M2, they are counted as one subject only. Applied Learning (ApL) subjects are not counted as elective subjects, except for JS1040 , JS1041 , JS1042 , JS1043 , JS1044 , JS1300 , JS1805 , JS1806 and JS1807 .
