It gives students the flexibility to decide on a final award in their first year of study. BBA (Hons) in Accountancy BBA (Hons) in Accountancy This programme provides students with a well-rounded business education and an opportunity to specialise in accounting. Students are provided with an integrated academic foundation for careers as accountants with the required competencies, independence of mind, objectivity and ethical awareness. BBA (Hons) in Accounting and Finance BBA (Hons) in Accounting and Finance The aim of this programme is to exploit the synergy between accounting and finance and prepare students to become competent accountants with a sound knowledge of finance. The programme provides a well-rounded business education and an opportunity to specialise in accounting and finance. Students develop strong skills in accounting and finance, including accounting and financial analysis, control and risk management, and corporate governance and ethics. BBA (Hons) in Digital Finance and Investment BBA (Hons) in Digital Finance and Investment This programme aims to provide students with a well-rounded business education and an opportunity to specialise in digital finance and investment management. The highly practical programme emphasises the application of professional finance and investment knowledge, together with hands-on experience of innovative financial technologies, to address the challenges faced by modern finance and investment professionals. All admitted students embark on a Common Year One curriculum. Towards the end of year one, students can decide whether to continue with their initial choice or switch to another choice within the Faculty. Those who wish to change to another choice need to join a competitive process through a ranking assessment, which considers a combination of entrance qualification score, Year One GPA, and interview performance. Remarks Remarks Students will gain one of the following awards upon successful completion of the programme: BBA (Hons) in Accountancy BBA (Hons) in Accounting and Finance BBA (Hons) in Digital Finance and Investment Students are subject to further assessment criteria in the selection of the award, such as GPA, towards the end of year one. JUPAS applicants with a DSE score of 25.0 or above in their best 5 subjects are guaranteed to be admitted to their most preferred Major programme. The option of a Secondary Major in AI and Data Analytics (AIDA) is available to students taking the BBA (Hons) Scheme in Accounting and Finance. Admission to the Secondary Major is competitive and subject to a different credit requirement for graduation. However, applicants who have not taken the preferred subjects will still be considered for admission but they may need to take relevant underpinning subjects after admission to PolyU. 9 . The study places offered by PolyU through JUPAS are intended primarily for admission of local school leavers. Applicants who are studying or have studied a scheme / programme with degree or above level will be considered on a case-by-case basis. 10 . Please note that Category I and Category II applicants are considered under different admission routes and are subject to different tuition fees.
