All admitted students will embark on a Common Year One curriculum. Towards the end of year one, students can decide whether to continue with their initial choice or switch to another choice within the Faculty. Those who wish to change to another choice need to join a competitive process through a ranking assessment, which considers a combination of entrance qualification score, Year One GPA, and interview performance. Remarks Remarks Applicants should be able to communicate verbally in both Cantonese and English effectively. Additional proficiency in Mandarin (Putonghua) is preferred. Students will be awarded the following degree upon successful completion of the graduation requirements: BSc (Hons) in Speech Therapy Contingent on successful accreditation of the programme by the Hong Kong Institute of Speech Therapists (HKIST), BScST graduates will be qualified to practise as speech therapists in an accredited register. Only applicants who have put BScST as their Band A choice would be shortlisted and invited for interview. However, "Liberal Studies" would not be recognized for meeting the elective requirement of the general entrance requirement in 2024/25 and thereafter. The level attainment of the subject would not be included in the admission score calculation. 3 . Individual schemes / programmes will accept one relevant Applied Learning (ApL) subject for meeting the entrance requirements. An attainment at Attained with Distinction (I) level or above / Attained with Distinction (obtained in 2017 or before) is required. 4 . Other Language subjects (i.e. Category C) offered in the HKDSE Examination will be accepted as elective subjects. The following minimum grades or above are required starting from 2026/27.
