The Music Department’s teaching team offers a wide range of expertise and has for decades nurtured important musicians of Chinese and Western music traditions. The Department’s library and archival collections are among the most important in Asia. It has its own symphony orchestra, wind orchestra, and choir, in addition to ensembles devoted to Chinese music, jazz, early music, and new music.
