Integrating fundamental knowledge in mechanics, electronics, software and core robotics principles, the programme provides a comprehensive foundation in robotics and autonomous systems, with particular emphasis on robot learning, embodied intelligence and human-centred applications. Students engage with both core and advanced robotics topics including robot control systems, perception, navigation and manipulation. Through a combination of coursework, laboratory work and research projects, students develop strong theoretical understanding together with practical engineering skills. Supported by CUHK’s world-class research ecosystem, including the T Stone Robotics Institute, the programme offers opportunities to participate in cutting-edge robotics research and innovation while building the technical and problem-solving capabilities needed to address real-world engineering challenges.
