Important topics covered in FINA curriculum include investment analysis, portfolio management, corporate finance, derivative securities, financial markets and institutions, financial accounting, and international finance. FINA curriculum helps students gain proficiency in working with financial databases such as the Bloomberg Professional Services, Refinitiv, and Morningstar Direct SM . FINA students will acquire well-rounded business knowledge by taking courses in both finance and other business disciplines including accounting, statistics, economics, information systems, operations management, marketing, and management. Our program offers many elective courses for students to develop specialties in specific areas of finance. The program is also flexible enough to accommodate students’ interest in choosing other disciplines for additional majors and minors. Our program provides a wide range of activities such as Undergraduate Research Opportunities Program (UROP), International Exchange Program, business case competitions and personal development training. The real world experiences help develop our students to be well-rounded finance professionals. Our graduates typically pursue careers in investment banking, retail banking, fund management, trading, private equity, insurance, accountancy, compliance, risk management, corporate finance, and management consulting. They are also well prepared for professional qualifications such as the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), the Certified Financial Planner (CFP), and the Financial Risk Manager (FRM). Extended Major Extended Major FINA students may apply for the extended major in Artificial Intelligence (AI) or Creative Arts and Digital Humanities (CADH) at the end of the 3rd term of study, if they satisfy the extended major requirement. Students completing the extended major will graduate with a title bearing both the traditional major subject they selected and the extended major. For details, please refer to " JS5300 Business & Management ". Remarks Remarks The Year 1 curricula of JS5312 FINA and JS5300 B&M are identical. JS5312 allows students who have a special interest in BBA FINA to directly enter the major. Those admitted to JS5300 may apply to enter FINA or other business majors via the major selection exercises held at the end of the first three terms.
