Through theoretical instruction and experiential learning, it explores the fusion of cultural, economic, social, and political forces that drive the convergence of creativity and commerce on an industry-wide scale. With a global perspective, the programme inspires students to critically analyse the evolving roles of culture in today’s society, where commerce and culture are increasingly intersected. This approach provides a platform to explore the interconnected nature of contemporary global creative sectors, transcending traditional boundaries and offering a holistic view of creative industry emergence, development, and future prospects on a global, regional, national, and local scale. The programme presents four concentrations: (1) Film & Media Communications, (2) Gaming & Digital Humanities, (3) Visual Arts, Heritage & Museum Studies, and (4) Music & Performing Arts. Each student selects a concentration among the above list, fostering expertise in their chosen field while comprehending the interconnected nature of the creative industries. Through supervised internships, industry experiences, field trips, and capstone projects, the curriculum integrates theoretical knowledge with practical applications. The programme aims to cultivate profound understanding and practical skills, empowering students for success across various fields and preparing them to navigate the dynamic landscape of the creative industries and beyond. The programme prepares students for diverse roles across industries, encompassing marketing, advertising, social media management, curation, customer relations, etc., in cultural sectors such as film, design, fashion, tourism, and heritage.
