#### Year 1
The first year offers broad training in Earth Science and Geography. No prior knowledge needed. Includes chemistry, physics, and maths. Field trips to Northern Ireland and South West Wales teach geological observation, data recording, and interpretation.
#### Year 2
In year two, shape your degree with three optional modules in Earth Sciences or Physical Geology. Compulsory modules and UK-based field courses, including SW England, develop specialist skills in palaeontology, sedimentology, environmental geology, and geomorphology.
#### Year 3
In year three, you’ll embark on an exciting adventure, studying at a prestigious partner institution overseas. You’ll dive into diverse geological environments, complete an Independent Earth Sciences Research Project, and engage in unique project work. With placements at top international universities, recent students have explored Canada, Australia, the USA, Singapore, Japan, Swede, France, New Zealand, and beyond. This year abroad will deepen your learning and open up incredible new opportunities.
