EARLY CHILDHOOD
If you want to understand how children learn, grow and thrive during their earliest years, our BA Early Childhood gives you the knowledge and experience to make a real difference.
You'll explore child development, play, learning, health and wellbeing, children's rights, and the impact of social inequality, gaining a deeper understanding of the factors that shape young children's lives in the UK and around the world.
You'll be taught by a research-informed, multidisciplinary team with expertise in education, sociology, psychology and philosophy, learning from academics whose work influences policy and professional practice. Guest speakers, field visits and access to Liverpool's rich network of community organisations will bring your learning to life. A supportive learning environment, small-group teaching and dedicated academic guidance will help you develop confidence needed for working with young children. You’ll graduate with the knowledge, research skills and experience needed for careers supporting children and families, or for postgraduate study in areas such as teaching, social work and early years practice.
