The principal UK degree exploring how geography shapes business, from global supply chains and labour markets to the environmental pressures reshaping economies and infrastructure.
Our BSc Geography with Business Management combines the critical perspectives and analytical approaches of economic and political geography with the management knowledge needed to navigate an increasingly uncertain world. You will examine how global trade, infrastructure, labour markets, finance and environmental change shape contemporary business practice, while developing an understanding of the organisational strategies used to respond to these challenges.
Navigating Economic and Environmental Change
The BSc in Geography with Business Management examines how organisations operate within wider social, political and environmental systems. It equips you to understand the complex geographical forces shaping economies and business decisions today through a hands-on approach to learning based in London, one of the world’s leading financial centres. In your first year, you’ll take a fieldtrip to Malta to learn how tourism, migration, infrastructure development and sustainability pressures are transforming local economies and environments.
Throughout the degree, and through an optional work placement module, you will combine geographical study with business management modules to develop strong analytical, research and problem-solving skills. In your final year, you will complete an independent research project on a topic of your choice, supported by an academic supervisor and drawing from the dynamic knowledge and innovative skill set you develop across the programme.
The BSc Geography with Business Management supports a range of learning styles and career ambitions. Our graduates pursue careers in consultancy, sustainability, logistics, business analysis and policy, as well as roles across private, public and third-sector organisations. Their combination of geographical insight, analytical expertise and business knowledge equips them to respond effectively, and creatively, to the environmental, economic and geopolitical challenges reshaping organisations and societies today.
