Students selecting the following subjects as their Major need to meet specific entry requirements:

Creative Writing

A-Level Grade B, or IB HL5, or 12 L3 credits at Merit, in one of the following subjects:

Anthropology, Classics and Ancient History, Drama, English, Geography, Government and Politics, History, Law, Media Studies, Modern Languages, Philosophy, Politics, Psychology, Religious Studies, Sociology.

Economics

GCSE Mathematics grade A/7, or AS/A-Level Maths equivalent. You do not need to have studied Economics previously.

Geography (Human)

Ancient History/History, Business/Business Studies, Economics, English, Environmental Science, Geography, Government and Politics, Law, Media Studies, Philosophy, Politics, Psychology, Religious Studies, Sociology.

Management

GCSE grade B/5 in Maths

Modern Languages

A-Level Grade B, or IB HL5, or 12 L3 credits at Merit, in your chosen language (if you wish to study the language at advanced level).

If you wish to study a language from beginner's level, there are no required subjects, but you must apply for the 4-year BA Liberal Arts with Study Abroad course.)

Completing your UCAS form

When completing your UCAS form you must indicate your proposed Major subject under ‘further details’ in the ‘choices’ section of the application. This helps us allocate space on your chosen subject.
