If your qualifications do not fully meet the subject requirements for this course, you may be asked to complete a mathematics test as an opportunity to demonstrate the required knowledge for this course. The academic selector will assess if a test is required. If a test is needed, passing it will form part of the conditions of your offer.

There is no cost to the exam and the exam is taken online.

We also offer a Foundation Year degree for applicants who do not have an A Level or equivalent in Mathematics. You can progress onto any of our single honours Mathematics degrees on successful completion of the Foundation Year.

Credit transfer and Recognition of Prior Learning

Hong Kong requirements

Typically we recognise grades 4,4,4 from three Senior Secondary subjects (excluding Liberal Studies and Chinese), in the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education (HKDSE) as comparable to AAB at A Level. Level 3 or above is required in all other subjects.

English language requirements

Applicants whose first language is not English require a minimum score of IELTS 6.0 or equivalent including 5.5 in each of the four elements of the test.
