We are happy to consider other qualifications on a case-by-case basis, including the following qualifications, providing they demonstrate a satisfactory standard and include a pass in English at the equivalent of GCSE:

BTEC Nationals

The University will consider applicants holding BTEC National Diploma and Extended National Diploma Qualifications (QCF; NQF;OCR) on a case by case basis. Subjects likely to be acceptable are Applied Science, Biomedical Science and Medical Science. Typical offers when made are Distinction, Merit, Merit. Merit overall in Science with a minimum of grade B in the core (including grade B in the paper B written examination.

A typical offer would be to obtain Access to HE Diploma with 18 Level 3 credits at Distinction, 24 level 3 credits at Merit and 3 level 3 credits at Pass (assuming syllabus is satisfactory) in Combined Science.
