Non-Academic Requirements
Any offer of a place will be subject to:
Successful interview
Satisfactory Health check
Satisfactory Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check - fee applicable
Two satisfactory references
As part of the selection process, you will be expected to demonstrate good knowledge and a clear understanding of the scope of work that a Paramedic is required to undertake as well as the significance of the NHS Constitution and its core values.
A driving licence is not a requirement to study Paramedic Science at the University of Suffolk. However, not being able to drive may affect your ability to travel to placement locations and, more significantly, could limit your employment opportunities after graduation, as an appropriate driving licence is a requirement for newly qualified paramedic positions with the regional ambulance trust, the destination for the vast majority of our graduates.
